The Symboli Poetics of Rain…! by Fatimah Al-Qarni
Abstract
This study examines the poetics of symbolism in the poetry collection “Matar” by Fatimah Al-Qarni, through an analytical exploration of the religious, historical, and mythological symbols embedded within the text. The research aims to uncover how symbolism contributes to the construction of poetic meaning, enriches the imagery, and expands the interpretive horizon of the reader. It further highlights the symbolic dimension as a vehicle for expressing the poet’s emotional and existential experience, revealing both its aesthetic value and expressive depth.
The study is structured into an introduction followed by three main chapters: the first discusses religious symbolism, the second explores historical symbolism, and the third analyzes mythological symbolism within the collection. The research concludes with a summary of key findings.
