The Role of Administration and Educational Institutions in Addressing the Negative Impact of Globalization and Protecting Identity in Arab Countries

Abstract

This research aims at buildng a grounded theory that explains the role of administration and educational institutions in protecting identity and addressing the negative impact of globalization as viewed by specialists in administration and educational institutions in Arab countries. The researcher used two qualitative research methods: the ethnographic approach and the grounded theory methodology. The researcher employed the observation of unannounced participation (young people and students) on social media (Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp, Telegram, YouTube, Top Top, Instagram, Snapchat, and many electronic and educational applications and games). To diagnose the research problem, the researcher also used two tools to collect data and verify data validity, which are the open questionnaire and the in-depth interview. A purposive sample of experts specialized in administration and educational institutions was selected from eight Arab, Asian and African countries. The study offers a grounded theory that explains the role of administration and educational institutions in preserving identity , employing its positive impact and addressing the negative impact of globalization, defining its principles and achievement requirements.
