The Method, Vision, and Features of Style in the Book “Revealing Thoughts: Articles and Reflections”

Abstract

This study attempts to examine the method, vision, and stylistic features in the book “Revealing Thoughts” by Dr. Jameel Sultan through its articles and reflections. The research found, In terms of methodology, that the author has successfully devised his unique method of expressing his perspective through various means, including the utilization of both traditional and contemporary cultural elements, the diversity of critique employed to address the topics presented in the articles and reflections, and reliance on the technique of blending literary genres and types.

Regarding the vision and subject matter, the study observed that the author consistently addresses the problems of reality in all his articles and reflections, employing various methods to tackle their root causes. Concerning style, the author’s writing is characterized by several features, most notably the reliance on the argumentative technique with its three elements: logic, credibility, and emotion, as well as the generative method.

Thus, the book serves as a truthful expression of the author’s life within his society, as he contemplates and suffers from the ongoing issues of reality. The author adopts an objective critical vision to analyze and interpret societal problems, linking them to the abandonment of Islamic religion and its virtuous values.
